Data Protection and Privacy
Tavistock Primary and Nursery School is committed to protecting the personal information of its pupils, parents, staff, governors, and wider community. Our practices are designed to comply with the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and, more recently, the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
We recognise the importance of handling personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently, and we take our responsibilities under data protection legislation seriously. Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to safeguard information and ensure it is only used for legitimate educational and operational purposes. Everyone within our school community has a role to play in maintaining information security and respecting the privacy rights of others. Through robust policies, staff training, and regular review of our practices, we strive to maintain high standards of data protection compliance and accountability.
